* cpukit/rtems/src/[a-r]*.c: Change license to BSD-2Joel Sherrill2022-02-281-3/+22
| | | | Updates #3053.
* score: Simplify thread wait state handlingSebastian Huber2021-11-231-8/+4
| | | | | | | | | | Remove the THREAD_WAIT_STATE_READY_AGAIN and simply use the initial value to indicate that a thread does not wait on something. Rename THREAD_WAIT_FLAGS_INITIAL to THREAD_WAIT_STATE_READY. This change is necessary so that _Thread_Continue() can be called for threads which never waited on something (for example dormant threads). Update #4546.
* rtems: Canonicalize implementation Doxygen groupsSebastian Huber2020-12-021-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | Rename Classic API top-level group from Classic to RTEMSImplClassic. Use RTEMSImplClassic as a prefix for the subgroups. Change the group names to be in line with the API group names. Use common phrases for the group brief descriptions. Update #3706.
* rtems: Canonicalize task event file documentationSebastian Huber2020-11-231-3/+5
|
* Canonicalize config.h includeSebastian Huber2020-04-161-2/+2
| | | | | | | | Use the following variant which was already used by most source files: #ifdef HAVE_CONFIG_H #include "config.h" #endif
* score: Turn thread lock into thread wait lockSebastian Huber2016-07-271-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | The _Thread_Lock_acquire() function had a potentially infinite run-time due to the lack of fairness at atomic operations level. Update #2412. Update #2556. Update #2765.
* score: Avoid atomic fences for thread wait flagsSebastian Huber2016-06-301-4/+1
| | | | | The use of atomic fences is brittle and may break due to changes in different areas which is hard to manage.
* rtems: Return status in _Event_Surrender()Sebastian Huber2016-05-041-1/+3
|
* score: Replace watchdog handler implementationSebastian Huber2016-03-041-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | Use a red-black tree instead of delta chains. Close #2344. Update #2554. Update #2555. Close #2606.
* Fix _Assert() statementSebastian Huber2015-11-251-1/+1
|
* score: Fix race condition on SMPSebastian Huber2015-11-121-22/+33
| | | | | | We must ensure that the Thread_Control::Wait information update is visible to the target thread before we update its wait flags, otherwise we may return out of date events or a wrong status.
* rtems: Avoid Giant lock for eventsSebastian Huber2015-05-191-2/+0
|
* score: _Thread_Dispatch_disable_critical()Sebastian Huber2015-05-191-1/+1
| | | | | | | Thread dispatching is disabled in case interrupts are disabled. To get an accurate thread dispatch disabled time it is important to use the interrupt disabled instant in case a transition from an interrupt disabled section to a thread dispatch level section happens.
* score: Reduce thread wait statesSebastian Huber2015-05-191-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | Merge THREAD_WAIT_STATE_SATISFIED, THREAD_WAIT_STATE_TIMEOUT, THREAD_WAIT_STATE_INTERRUPT_SATISFIED, and THREAD_WAIT_STATE_INTERRUPT_TIMEOUT into one state THREAD_WAIT_STATE_READY_AGAIN. This helps to write generic routines to block a thread. Update #2273.
* score: Add header to _Watchdog_Remove()Sebastian Huber2015-05-191-1/+1
| | | | | | | | Add watchdog header parameter to _Watchdog_Remove() to be in line with the other operations. Add _Watchdog_Remove_ticks() and _Watchdog_Remove_seconds() for convenience. Update #2307.
* score: Add _Thread_Get_interrupt_disable()Sebastian Huber2015-04-211-5/+5
| | | | | | | | | | Remove _Thread_Acquire() and _Thread_Acquire_for_executing(). Add utility functions for the default thread lock. Use the default thread lock for the RTEMS events. There is no need to disable thread dispatching and a Giant acquire in _Event_Timeout() since this was already done by the caller. Update #2273.
* score: Implement fine-grained locking for eventsSebastian Huber2015-03-051-57/+82
| | | | | | | Use the ISR lock of the thread object to protect the event state and use the Giant lock only for the blocking operations. Update #2273.

* score: Create thread implementation headerSebastian Huber2013-07-261-0/+1
| | | | | | | | Move implementation specific parts of thread.h and thread.inl into new header file threadimpl.h. The thread.h contains now only the application visible API. Remove superfluous header file includes from various files.
* rtems: Create event implementation headerSebastian Huber2013-07-231-1/+1
| | | | | | Move implementation specific parts of event.h, event.inl, eventset.h and eventset.inl into new header file eventimpl.h. The event.h contains now only the application visible API.
* rtems: Create options implementation headerSebastian Huber2013-07-231-0/+1
| | | | | | Move implementation specific parts of options.h and options.inl into new header file optionsimpl.h. The options.h contains now only the application visible API.
* score: Create watchdog implementation headerSebastian Huber2013-07-221-0/+1
| | | | | | Move implementation specific parts of watchdog.h and watchdog.inl into new header file watchdogimpl.h. The watchdog.h contains now only the application visible API.
* rtems: Simplify _Event_Surrender()Sebastian Huber2013-01-071-28/+14
| | | | Check for a satisfied event condition only once.
* rtems: Simplify _Event_Surrender()Sebastian Huber2013-01-071-4/+6
| | | | Remove superfluous test for _ISR_Is_in_progress().
* rtems: Simplify _Event_Surrender()Sebastian Huber2013-01-071-2/+1
| | | | | | | It is impossible to reach the simplified expression if we are in the THREAD_BLOCKING_OPERATION_TIMEOUT state since in this case Wait.count (event condition) would be set to zero and thus the seized event set would be empty.
* rtems: Add commentSebastian Huber2013-01-071-0/+5

* score misc: Clean up Doxygen #14 (GCI 2012)Mathew Kallada2012-12-021-9/+7
| | | | | | | This patch is a task from GCI 2012 which improves the Doxygen comments in the RTEMS source. http://www.google-melange.com/gci/task/view/google/gci2012/8025204
* rtems: Reusable event implementationSebastian Huber2012-10-301-36/+27
| | | | Change event implementation to enable reuse for system events.
* Remove All CVS Id Strings Possible Using a ScriptJoel Sherrill2012-05-111-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | Script does what is expected and tries to do it as smartly as possible. + remove occurrences of two blank comment lines next to each other after Id string line removed. + remove entire comment blocks which only exited to contain CVS Ids + If the processing left a blank line at the top of a file, it was removed.

| | | | | | | | | | PR 641/rtems * rtems/src/eventsurrender.c: The problem here is that events may be lost when sent to a task which enters rtems_event_receive() with options set to wait with a timeout and to return on receipt of any event. The events are sent from an interrupt source such as a timer service routine. If more than one set of events is sent to the task before it returns, the first event set may be overwritten.
