* tests: Add header for RTEMS test printerSebastian Huber2023-09-261-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | The <rtems/test-info.h> header file is required for every RTEMS test program. Move the RTEMS test printer support to a dedicated header file <rtems/test-printer.h>. This removes an unnecessary dependency to the RTEMS printer support in <rtems/test-info.h>. Tests using the RTEMS Testing Framework no longer depend on the <rtems/printer.h>.

* libtest: <rtems/test.h> to <rtems/test-info.h>Sebastian Huber2020-07-231-1/+1
| | | | | | | | Rename this header file to later move <t.h> to <rtems/test.h>. The main feature provided by <rtems/test-info.h> is the output of standard test information which is consumed by the RTEMS Tester. Update #3199.
* Canonicalize config.h includeSebastian Huber2020-04-161-1/+1
| | | | | | | | Use the following variant which was already used by most source files: #ifdef HAVE_CONFIG_H #include "config.h" #endif
* config: CONFIGURE_LIBIO_MAXIMUM_FILE_DESCRIPTORSSebastian Huber2019-12-191-1/+1
| | | | | | | Rename CONFIGURE_LIBIO_MAXIMUM_FILE_DESCRIPTORS into CONFIGURE_MAXIMUM_FILE_DESCRIPTORS. Update #3753.
* libtests/dl*: Rename source filesSebastian Huber2019-11-261-0/+0
| | | | | | | | Rename source files to use a %.c -> %.o and %.cc -> %.o pattern. Use *.cc for C++ source files instead of *.cpp to be in line with other C++ source files. Update #3818.
* libtests/dl*: Use rtems_tarfs_load()Sebastian Huber2019-11-261-2/+2
| | | | | Use rtems_tarfs_load() instead of Untar_FromMemory() to reduce the memory demands of the tests.
* libdl/arm: Fix ARM mode trampoline parsing of relocsChris Johns2019-07-281-1/+0
| | | | | | - No need to dump globals syms in test dl01 when tracing Closes #3775
* libdl: Add powerpc large memory and small data support.Chris Johns2019-02-091-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | - Add support for architecure sections that can be handled by the architecture back end. - Add trampoline/fixup support for PowerPC. This means the PowerPC now supports large memory loading of applications. - Add a bit allocator to manage small block based regions of memory. - Add small data (sdata/sbss) support for the PowerPC. The support makes the linker allocated small data region of memory a global resource available to libdl loaded object files. Updates #3687 Updates #3685
* libdl: Add support for trampolinesChris Johns2019-02-091-1/+40
| | | | | | | | | | | | | - Trampolines or fixups for veneers provide long jump support for instruciton sets that implement short relative address branches. The linker provides trampolines when creating a static image. This patch adds trampoline support to libdl and the ARM architecture. - The dl09 test requires enough memory so modules are outside the relative branch instruction ranges for the architecture. Updates #3685
* libtests: Use CONFIGURE_INIT_TASK_TABLE_SIZESebastian Huber2018-07-301-4/+2
| | | | | | | | Using CONFIGURE_MINIMUM_TASK_STACK_SIZE increases also the interrupt stack size. This is an issue on some BSPs. Use CONFIGURE_INIT_TASK_TABLE_SIZE instead. Update #3433.
* libdl: Fix the tests loading the correct filesChris Johns2018-04-121-2/+2

* testsuite/libtests: Merged nested Makefile.am files into one Makefile.amChris Johns2018-04-102-49/+3
| | | | | | This change is part of the testsuite Makefile.am reorganization. Update #3382
* dl01, dl02, dl05: Fix unresolved printf symbolSebastian Huber2017-11-151-4/+3
| | | | | | | | The link time wrap of printf leads to unresolved symbols in the loadable modules. This resulted in infinite loops and test timeouts. Use rtems_printf() for output. Update #3199.
* tests: Use simple console driverSebastian Huber2017-11-061-1/+1
| | | | | Update #3170. Update #3199.
* tests: Remove TEST_INITSebastian Huber2017-10-281-2/+0
| | | | | | | | The TEST_EXTERN is a used only by the system.h style tests and they use CONFIGURE_INIT appropriately. Update #3170. Update #3199.
* testsuite: Use printk for all test output where possible.Chris Johns2017-10-231-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | - Remove the printf support leaving the direct printk support configured with TESTS_USE_PRINTK and all other output goes via a buffered vsniprintf call to printk. - Control the test's single init for functions and global data with TEST_INIT and not CONFIGURE_INIT. They are now separate. Updates #3170.
* tests: Use floating point taskSebastian Huber2017-07-181-0/+2
| | | | | | | These tests directly or indirectly use fprintf(), etc. which may use the floating point unit. Update #3076.

* testsuite: Add a common test configuration. Fix configure.ac and Makefile.am ↵Chris Johns2017-04-041-8/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | errors. - Add a top level test configuration file for test states that are common to all BSPs. This saves adding a test configuration (tcfg) file for every BSP. - Add the test states 'user-input' and 'benchmark'. This lets 'rtems-test' stop the test rather than waiting for a timeout or letting a benchmark run without the user asking for it to run. - Implement rtems-test-check in Python to make it faster. The shell script had grown to a point it was noticably slowing the build down. - Fix the configure.ac and Makefile.am files for a number of the test directories. The files are difficiult to keep in sync with the number of tests and mistakes can happen such as tests being left out of the build. The test fsrofs01 is an example. Also a there was a mix of SUBDIRS and _SUBDIRS being used and only _SUBDIRS should be used. - Fix the test fsrofs01 so it compiles. Closes #2963.
