* Patch from "John M. Mills" <jmills@tga.com> with subsequent cleanup fromJoel Sherrill1999-11-181-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Ralf Corsepius <corsepiu@faw.uni-ulm.de> that adds initial Hitachi SH-2 support to RTEMS. Ralf's comments are: Changes: ------ 1. SH-Port: * Many files renamed. * CONSOLE_DEVNAME and MHZ defines removed from libcpu. * console.c moved to libbsp/sh/shared, build in libbsp/sh/<BSP>/console applying VPATH. * CONSOLE_DEVNAME made BSP-specific, replacement is defined in bsp.h * MHZ define replaced with HZ (extendent resolution) in custom/*.cfg * -DHZ=HZ used in bspstart.c, only * Makefile variable HZ used in bsp-dependent directories only. 2. SH1-Port * clock-driver rewritten to provide better resolution for odd CPU frequencies. This driver is only partially tested on hardware, ie. sightly experimental, but I don't expect severe problems with it. * Polling SCI-driver added. This driver is experimental and completly untested yet. Therefore it is not yet used for the console (/dev/console is still pointing to /dev/null, cf. gensh1/bsp.h). * minor changes to the timer driver * SH1 specific delay()/CPU_delay() now is implemented as a function 3. SH2-Port * Merged * IMO, the code is still in its infancy. Therefore I have interspersed comments (FIXME) it for items which I think John should look after. * sci and console drivers partially rewritten and extended (John, I hope you don't mind). * Copyright notices are not yet adapted
* Patch from Ralf Corsepius <corsepiu@faw.uni-ulm.de>:Joel Sherrill1998-11-191-1/+1
| | | | | | | Here is a cosmetic patch which corrects a few spelling problems in parts written by me. Apparently, I must have written these under the influence of ether (:-)
* Numerous changes which in total greatly reduced the amount of sourceJoel Sherrill1998-04-151-25/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | code in each BSP's bspstart.c. These changes were: + confdefs.h now knows libio's semaphore requirements + shared/main.c now copies Configuration to BSP_Configuration + shared/main.c fills in the Cpu_table with default values This removed the need for rtems_libio_config() and the constant BSP_LIBIO_MAX_FDS in every BSP. Plus now the maximum number of open files can now be set on the gcc command line.
* Transitioned to shared bsp_libc_init() and cleaned up comments.Joel Sherrill1998-04-151-45/+11

* Per suggestion from Eric Norum, went from one initial extension setJoel Sherrill1998-04-151-13/+0
| | | | | | to multiple. This lets the stack check extension be installed at system initialization time and avoids the BSP having to even know about its existence.
* Stack checker extension now accounted for in confdefs.hJoel Sherrill1998-04-141-8/+0

* Now accounts for region used by RTEMS malloc and extension usedJoel Sherrill1998-04-141-22/+0
| | | | by newlib.
* Moved bsp_postdriver_hook() to a shared file and made it a commonJoel Sherrill1998-03-301-27/+3
| | | | component.
* Switch to using a shared main() for all of the embedded BSPsJoel Sherrill1998-03-211-20/+1
| | | | | | | | based on the GNU tools. This usually involved correcting the type of bsp_start(), bsp_cleanup(), adjusting the start code to call the right start routine (the shared boot_card()), and then removing code from bsp_start() which was performed in the new boot_card()/main() path.
* SH port submitted from Ralf Corsepius <corsepiu@faw.uni-ulm.de>.Joel Sherrill1998-03-201-0/+278
