2020-02-25libio: Add POSIX user environment pointer to TCBSebastian Huber
The IO library used a POSIX key to store an optional POSIX user environment pointer. This pulled in the POSIX keys support in every application configuration. Add a user environment pointer to the thread control block (TCB) instead. Applications which do not need the POSIX user environment will just get an overhead of one pointer per thread. Close #3882.

2018-08-07tests: Remove CONFIGURE_MAXIMUM_DRIVERSSebastian Huber
This configuration is superfluous in these tests.
2018-04-10testsuite/libtests: Merged nested Makefile.am files into one Makefile.amChris Johns
This change is part of the testsuite Makefile.am reorganization. Update #3382
2018-01-25Remove make preinstallChris Johns
A speciality of the RTEMS build system was the make preinstall step. It copied header files from arbitrary locations into the build tree. The header files were included via the -Bsome/build/tree/path GCC command line option. This has at least seven problems: * The make preinstall step itself needs time and disk space. * Errors in header files show up in the build tree copy. This makes it hard for editors to open the right file to fix the error. * There is no clear relationship between source and build tree header files. This makes an audit of the build process difficult. * The visibility of all header files in the build tree makes it difficult to enforce API barriers. For example it is discouraged to use BSP-specifics in the cpukit. * An introduction of a new build system is difficult. * Include paths specified by the -B option are system headers. This may suppress warnings. * The parallel build had sporadic failures on some hosts. This patch removes the make preinstall step. All installed header files are moved to dedicated include directories in the source tree. Let @RTEMS_CPU@ be the target architecture, e.g. arm, powerpc, sparc, etc. Let @RTEMS_BSP_FAMILIY@ be a BSP family base directory, e.g. erc32, imx, qoriq, etc. The new cpukit include directories are: * cpukit/include * cpukit/score/cpu/@RTEMS_CPU@/include * cpukit/libnetworking The new BSP include directories are: * bsps/include * bsps/@RTEMS_CPU@/include * bsps/@RTEMS_CPU@/@RTEMS_BSP_FAMILIY@/include There are build tree include directories for generated files. The include directory order favours the most general header file, e.g. it is not possible to override general header files via the include path order. The "bootstrap -p" option was removed. The new "bootstrap -H" option should be used to regenerate the "headers.am" files. Update #3254.
2017-11-06tests: Use simple console driverSebastian Huber
Update #3170. Update #3199.
2017-10-28tests: Remove TEST_INITSebastian Huber
The TEST_EXTERN is a used only by the system.h style tests and they use CONFIGURE_INIT appropriately. Update #3170. Update #3199.
2017-10-23testsuite: Use printk for all test output where possible.Chris Johns
- Remove the printf support leaving the direct printk support configured with TESTS_USE_PRINTK and all other output goes via a buffered vsniprintf call to printk. - Control the test's single init for functions and global data with TEST_INIT and not CONFIGURE_INIT. They are now separate. Updates #3170.
2017-07-19tests: Use floating point taskSebastian Huber
These tests directly or indirectly use fprintf(), etc. which may use the floating point unit. Update #3076.
2014-12-16Delete CONFIGURE_USE_IMFS_AS_BASE_FILESYSTEMSebastian Huber
This define was superfluous, undocumented and used inconsistently.

2013-01-28ftpfs: Fix SIZE command handlingSebastian Huber
It is invalid to issue a SIZE command once a data transfer is in progress. For reads we issue the SIZE command before the RETR command and get a snapshot of the file size. For writes the file size is initialized to zero and incremented for each write chunk.

2012-05-11Remove All CVS Id Strings Possible Using a ScriptJoel Sherrill
Script does what is expected and tries to do it as smartly as possible. + remove occurrences of two blank comment lines next to each other after Id string line removed. + remove entire comment blocks which only exited to contain CVS Ids + If the processing left a blank line at the top of a file, it was removed.
