Updates #3053.
|
|
The previous rtems_panic() implementation was quite heavy weight. It
depended on _exit() which calls the global destructors. It used
fprintf(stderr, ...) for output which depends on an initialized console
device and the complex fprintf().
Introduce a new fatal source RTEMS_FATAL_SOURCE_PANIC for rtems_panic()
and output via vprintk().

The TEST_EXTERN is a used only by the system.h style tests and they use
CONFIGURE_INIT appropriately.

- Remove the printf support leaving the direct printk support configured
with TESTS_USE_PRINTK and all other output goes via a buffered vsniprintf
call to printk.
- Control the test's single init for functions and global data with
TEST_INIT and not CONFIGURE_INIT. They are now separate.
Updates #3170.

These tests directly or indirectly use fprintf(), etc. which may use the
floating point unit.

Update #2825.

This change adds rtems_printf and related functions and wraps the
RTEMS print plugin support into a user API. All references to the
plugin are removed and replaced with the rtems_printer interface.
Printk and related functions are made to return a valid number of
characters formatted and output.
The function attribute to check printf functions has been added
to rtems_printf and printk. No changes to remove warrnings are part
of this patch set.
The testsuite has been moved over to the rtems_printer. The testsuite
has a mix of rtems_printer access and direct print control via the
tmacros.h header file. The support for begink/endk has been removed
as it served no purpose and only confused the code base. The testsuite
has not been refactored to use rtems_printf. This is future work.

PR 1592/testing
* Makefile.am, configure.ac: Changes to incorporate sperror01,
sperror02, sperror03
* sperror01/init.c, sperror02/init.c: New tests to exercise
rtems_error routine
* sperror03/init.c: New test to exercise rtems_panic routine
|
|
* Makefile.am, configure.ac: Added test that attempts to free stack
memory. This causes a error to be printed from the free function.
* malloc03/.cvsignore, malloc03/Makefile.am, malloc03/init.c,
malloc03/malloc03.doc, malloc03/malloc03.scn: New files.

|
|
* Makefile.am, configure.ac, sp62/init.c, sp64/init.c: Add new test and
adjust existing for alignment. New test ensures coverage begin and
end marker methods are exercised so they do not get considered
unexecuted.

* Per PR47 add support for buffered test output. This involved
adding defines to redirect output to a buffer and dump it when
full, at "test pause", and at exit. To avoid problems when redefining
exit(), all tests were modified to call rtems_test_exit().
Some tests, notable psxtests, had to be modified to include
the standard test macro .h file (pmacros.h or tmacros.h) to
enable this support.

or rtems initialization table in configuration table
|
|
Configuration Table Template file added and all tests
modified to use this. All gvar.h and conftbl.h files
removed from test directories.
Configuration parameter maximum_devices added.
Core semaphore and mutex handlers added and RTEMS API Semaphore
Manager updated to reflect this.
Initialization sequence changed to invoke API specific initialization
routines. Initialization tasks table now owned by RTEMS Tasks Manager.
Added user extension for post-switch.
Utilized user extensions to implement API specific functionality
like signal dispatching.
Added extensions to the System Initialization Thread so that an
API can register a function to be invoked while the system
is being initialized. These are largely equivalent to the
pre-driver and post-driver hooks.
Added the Modules file oar-go32_p5, modified oar-go32, and modified
the file make/custom/go32.cfg to look at an environment varable which
determines what CPU model is being used.
All BSPs updated to reflect named devices and clock driver's IOCTL
used by the Shared Memory Driver. Also merged clock isr into
main file and removed ckisr.c where possible.
Updated spsize to reflect new and moved variables.
Makefiles for the executive source and include files updated to show
break down of files into Core, RTEMS API, and Neither.
Header and inline files installed into subdirectory based on whether
logically in the Core or a part of the RTEMS API.
|
|
both fixed length "raw" names and strings from the API's point of view.
Both inline and macro implementations were tested.
