that is yet another multilib-related structual cleanup patch:
Changes:
* Make RTEMS_TEST_NO_PAUSE a tests/ subpackage specific option.
- Remove RTEMS_TEST_NO_PAUSE from custom/*.cfg, targopts.h and
cpuopts.h.
- Add autoconf macros RTEMS_*_RTEMS_TEST_NO_PAUSE
(aclocal/rtems-test-no-pause.m4).
- Add RTEMS_*_RTEMS_TEST_NO_PAUSE support to sptests/configure.ins
and tmtests/configure.in. These are the only subdirectories which
currently apply RTEMS_TEST_NO_PAUSE.
- Add autoconf-DEFS support to all test subpackages' configure.ins
below tests/. I.e. AC_DEFINES now get explicitly propagated as
preprocessor defines into Makefiles, cf. AM_CPPFLAGS in
tests/*/*.am, instead of using a global config-files.
- Remove NDEBUG from custom/*.cfg.
* AC_DEFINE POSIX_API, ITRON_API and MULTIPROCESSING in
exec/configure.in, only.
- All other sources now should relay on the values from cpuopts.h
and should not define them themselves.
- Several related changes to many configure.ins
* Bug-fixes to RTEMS_*_RTEMS_DEBUG macros (Actually workarounds to
quoting bugs in autoconf).
Notes:
* This patch is rather immature and only tested for a small subset
of BSPs (requires the tests to be enabled and therefore takes an
tremendous amount of disc space and time.)
* The patches to *cfg were generated by a script. Expect file
formating changes :)

<charles.gauthier@iit.nrc.ca>, and Darlene A. Stewart
<Darlene.Stewart@nrc.ca> to add support for a number of very
significant things:
+ BSPs for many variations on the Motorola MBX8xx board series
+ Cache Manager including initial support for m68040
and PowerPC
+ Rework of mpc8xx libcpu code so all mpc8xx CPUs now use
same code base.
+ Rework of eth_comm BSP to utiltize above.

that contains:
* Removes remaining (now illegal) references to $(SRC) from a couple of
Makefile.ams
* Removes duplicate AC_CONFIG_SUBDIRS macro from c/configure.in
* Moves ENABLE_LIBCDIR into RTEMS_PROG_C[C|XX]_FOR_TARGET (hides LIBCDIR
from most configure scripts, i.e. LIBCDIR becomes less visible)
* Adds RTEMS_PROG_C[C|XX]_FOR_TARGET and RTEMS_CANONICALIZE_TOOLS to
libbsp/*/configure.ins (A minor bug in previous implementations, which
only has an impact when switching to GNU/Cygnus canonicalization)
* Cleans up several bogus comments.
* Removes MKLIB
* Switches the version number to 4.5.0 (for testing version number
handling)

particular, using bsp.h, or getting information from the BSP which
should properly be obtained from RTEMS is forbidden. This is
necessary to strengthen the division between the BSP independent
parts of RTEMS and the BSPs themselves. This started after
comments and analysis by Ralf Corsepius <corsepiu@faw.uni-ulm.de>.
The changes primarily eliminated the need to include bsp.h and
peeking at BSP_Configuration. The use of Cpu_table in each
BSP needs to be eliminated.

First, the unlimited patch. I have compiled the unlmited patch for the
Linux posix BSP only and it seems to work cleanly. I would like a really
major application run on this change before commiting as the changes are
very core and significant. I am currently building all the tests to run.
I have no targets suitable to test on at the moment.
I have tested the patch for inline functions and macros.
Turning macros on has found some core bugs. I have fixed these but have
not run all the tests. Please review the patch for these changes. They
are:
1) The conditional compilation for MP support broke the core messages
code. You cannot embed a conditional macro in another macro. The Send
and Urgent Send calls are macros.
2) User extensions handler initialisation now has two parameters. I have
updated the macros to support the extra parameter.
The patch also contains the gcc-target-default.cfg fix required to build
the kernel. More of a by product than a fix for you.

Configuration Table Template file added and all tests
modified to use this. All gvar.h and conftbl.h files
removed from test directories.
Configuration parameter maximum_devices added.
Core semaphore and mutex handlers added and RTEMS API Semaphore
Manager updated to reflect this.
Initialization sequence changed to invoke API specific initialization
routines. Initialization tasks table now owned by RTEMS Tasks Manager.
Added user extension for post-switch.
Utilized user extensions to implement API specific functionality
like signal dispatching.
Added extensions to the System Initialization Thread so that an
API can register a function to be invoked while the system
is being initialized. These are largely equivalent to the
pre-driver and post-driver hooks.
Added the Modules file oar-go32_p5, modified oar-go32, and modified
the file make/custom/go32.cfg to look at an environment varable which
determines what CPU model is being used.
All BSPs updated to reflect named devices and clock driver's IOCTL
used by the Shared Memory Driver. Also merged clock isr into
main file and removed ckisr.c where possible.
Updated spsize to reflect new and moved variables.
Makefiles for the executive source and include files updated to show
break down of files into Core, RTEMS API, and Neither.
Header and inline files installed into subdirectory based on whether
logically in the Core or a part of the RTEMS API.
