* tests: Remove configure feature checksSebastian Huber2018-05-0213-143/+3
| | | | Update #3409.
* configure: Add subdir-objects to all automake flags.Chris Johns2018-04-111-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | This option silences warning with automake-1.16.1 allowing us to upgrade to that version. This change has been tested with automake-1.12.6 and automake-1.16.1. It seems version 1.16.1 configures slower than 1.12.6 for the same source and BSP. The newer versions is 6 second slower. Close #3387.
* testsuite/psxtests: Merged nested Makefile.am files into one Makefile.amChris Johns2018-04-10105-2686/+1294
| | | | | | This change is part of the testsuite Makefile.am reorganization. Update #3382

* Remove make preinstallChris Johns2018-01-251-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | A speciality of the RTEMS build system was the make preinstall step. It copied header files from arbitrary locations into the build tree. The header files were included via the -Bsome/build/tree/path GCC command line option. This has at least seven problems: * The make preinstall step itself needs time and disk space. * Errors in header files show up in the build tree copy. This makes it hard for editors to open the right file to fix the error. * There is no clear relationship between source and build tree header files. This makes an audit of the build process difficult. * The visibility of all header files in the build tree makes it difficult to enforce API barriers. For example it is discouraged to use BSP-specifics in the cpukit. * An introduction of a new build system is difficult. * Include paths specified by the -B option are system headers. This may suppress warnings. * The parallel build had sporadic failures on some hosts. This patch removes the make preinstall step. All installed header files are moved to dedicated include directories in the source tree. Let @RTEMS_CPU@ be the target architecture, e.g. arm, powerpc, sparc, etc. Let @RTEMS_BSP_FAMILIY@ be a BSP family base directory, e.g. erc32, imx, qoriq, etc. The new cpukit include directories are: * cpukit/include * cpukit/score/cpu/@RTEMS_CPU@/include * cpukit/libnetworking The new BSP include directories are: * bsps/include * bsps/@RTEMS_CPU@/include * bsps/@RTEMS_CPU@/@RTEMS_BSP_FAMILIY@/include There are build tree include directories for generated files. The include directory order favours the most general header file, e.g. it is not possible to override general header files via the include path order. The "bootstrap -p" option was removed. The new "bootstrap -H" option should be used to regenerate the "headers.am" files. Update #3254.
* psxchroot01: Force release of global locationsSebastian Huber2018-01-221-0/+6
| | | | | Free deferred locations before the greedy memory allocation. This test fails on powerpc/qoriq_e6500_64 otherwise.

* testsuite: Use printk for all test output where possible.Chris Johns2017-10-23101-41/+220
| | | | | | | | | | - Remove the printf support leaving the direct printk support configured with TESTS_USE_PRINTK and all other output goes via a buffered vsniprintf call to printk. - Control the test's single init for functions and global data with TEST_INIT and not CONFIGURE_INIT. They are now separate. Updates #3170.
* posix: Remove POSIX_API_Control::schedparamSebastian Huber2017-10-171-5/+1

* posix: Fix _POSIX_Threads_Create_extension()Sebastian Huber2017-10-171-0/+8
| | | | | | The thread POSIX API control must be fully initialized in _POSIX_Threads_Create_extension(), otherwise a pthread_setschedparam() is broken for all threads not created with pthread_create().
* posix: Constify default thread processor affinitySebastian Huber2017-10-102-0/+8
| | | | | | | | Set default thread processor affinity to all processors of the pre-allocated set. This allows to constify the _POSIX_Threads_Default_attributes. Update #2514.
