* 2001-11-28 Joel Sherrill <joel@OARcorp.com>,Joel Sherrill2001-11-281-0/+7
| | | | | | | This was tracked as PR91. * rtems/score/cpu.h: Added CPU_PROVIDES_ISR_IS_IN_PROGRESS macro which is used to specify if the port uses the standard macro for this (FALSE). A TRUE setting indicates the port provides its own implementation.
* 2001-01-03 Joel Sherrill <joel@OARcorp.com>Joel Sherrill2001-01-031-0/+3
| | | | * rtems/score/cpu.h: Added _CPU_Initialize_vectors().
* 2000-09-12 Joel Sherrill <joel@OARcorp.com>Joel Sherrill2000-09-121-1/+1
| | | | * rtems/score/i386.h: Corrected "#elsif" to be "#elif".

| | | | | | * rtems/score/i386.h: cpu-variant define handling Rewrite due to introduction of multilib defines. * asm.h: include cpuopts.h instead of targopts.h
* Port of RTEMS to the Texas Instruments C3x/C4x DSP families includingJoel Sherrill2000-07-261-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | a BSP (c4xsim) supporting the simulator included with gdb. This port was done by Joel Sherrill and Jennifer Averett of OAR Corporation. Also included with this port is a space/time optimization to eliminate FP context switch management on CPUs without hardware or software FP. An issue with this port was that sizeof(unsigned32) = sizeof(unsigned8) on this CPU. This required addressing alignment checks and assumptions as well as fixing code that assumed sizeof(unsigned32) == 4.
* Moved i386 and m68k cache management code to libcpu. EverythingJoel Sherrill2000-06-131-95/+0
| | | | | | now is an implementation of the prototypes in rtems/rtems/cache.h. The libcpu/i386/wrapup directory is no longer needed. The PowerPC needs this done to it.
* Patch from John Cotton <john.cotton@nrc.ca>, Charles-Antoine GauthierJoel Sherrill2000-06-121-0/+136
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | <charles.gauthier@iit.nrc.ca>, and Darlene A. Stewart <Darlene.Stewart@nrc.ca> to add support for a number of very significant things: + BSPs for many variations on the Motorola MBX8xx board series + Cache Manager including initial support for m68040 and PowerPC + Rework of mpc8xx libcpu code so all mpc8xx CPUs now use same code base. + Rework of eth_comm BSP to utiltize above. John reports this works on the 821 and 860

* Patch rtems-rc-4.5.0-13-cvs.diff from Ralf Corsepius <corsepiu@faw.uni-ulm.de>.Joel Sherrill2000-04-132-0/+4

* Added after report from Quality Quorum <qqi@world.std.com> thatJoel Sherrill2000-01-271-0/+5

* This is another pass at making sure that nothing outside the BSPJoel Sherrill1999-11-051-0/+15
| | | | | | | | | | | | unnecessarily uses any variables defined by the BSP. On this sweep, use of BSP_Configuration and Cpu_table was eliminated. A significant part of this modification was the addition of macros to access fields in the RTEMS configuration structures. This is necessary to strengthen the division between the BSP independent parts of RTEMS and the BSPs themselves. This started after comments and analysis by Ralf Corsepius <corsepiu@faw.uni-ulm.de>.
* Removed targets and configurations that are no longer functionalJoel Sherrill1999-10-051-13/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | and not likely to become so. Comments on each configuration are below. + Force CPU386 - This BSP was developed as part of the initial port of RTEMS to the i386. This board has been unavailable for a long time now. + GO32 - This BSP and some CPU code supported djgpp v1.x. This version is now quite old. No one has stepped forward to update the code to v2.x which may be technically impossible anyway. More importantly, go32 has been superceded by the pc386 BSP.
* Patch from Charles-Antoine Gauthier <charles.gauthier@iit.nrc.ca>Joel Sherrill1999-07-291-1/+1
| | | | | to correct a typo CPU_HAS_OWN_HOST_TO_NETWORK_ROUTINES was actually typed in as CPU_CPU_HAS_OWN_HOST_TO_NETWORK_ROUTINES.

* The word "RTEMS" almost completely removed from the core.Joel Sherrill1995-09-111-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Configuration Table Template file added and all tests modified to use this. All gvar.h and conftbl.h files removed from test directories. Configuration parameter maximum_devices added. Core semaphore and mutex handlers added and RTEMS API Semaphore Manager updated to reflect this. Initialization sequence changed to invoke API specific initialization routines. Initialization tasks table now owned by RTEMS Tasks Manager. Added user extension for post-switch. Utilized user extensions to implement API specific functionality like signal dispatching. Added extensions to the System Initialization Thread so that an API can register a function to be invoked while the system is being initialized. These are largely equivalent to the pre-driver and post-driver hooks. Added the Modules file oar-go32_p5, modified oar-go32, and modified the file make/custom/go32.cfg to look at an environment varable which determines what CPU model is being used. All BSPs updated to reflect named devices and clock driver's IOCTL used by the Shared Memory Driver. Also merged clock isr into main file and removed ckisr.c where possible. Updated spsize to reflect new and moved variables. Makefiles for the executive source and include files updated to show break down of files into Core, RTEMS API, and Neither. Header and inline files installed into subdirectory based on whether logically in the Core or a part of the RTEMS API.
