* Makefile.am, configure.ac, clock/ckinit.c, startup/bspstart.c,
startup/linkcmds: Add use of bsp_get_work_area() in its own file and
rely on BSP Framework to perform more initialization. Remove
unnecessary includes of rtems/libio.h and rtems/libcsupport.h.
|
|
* startup/bspstart.c: Refactored and renamed initialization routines to
rtems_initialize_data_structures, rtems_initialize_before_drivers,
rtems_initialize_device_drivers, and
rtems_initialize_start_multitasking. This opened the sequence up so
that bootcard() could provide a more robust and flexible framework
which is easier to explain and understand. This also lays the
groundwork for sharing the division of available memory between the
RTEMS workspace and heap and the C library initialization across all
BSPs.
|
|
* clock/ckinit.c, include/bsp.h, startup/bspstart.c: Eliminate copies
of the Configuration Table. Use the RTEMS provided accessor macros to
obtain configuration fields.
|
|
* include/bsp.h, startup/bspstart.c: Move interrupt_stack_size field
from CPU Table to Configuration Table. Eliminate CPU Table from all
ports. Delete references to CPU Table in all forms.
|
|
* startup/bspstart.c: Moved most of the remaining CPU Table fields to
the Configuration Table. This included pretasking_hook,
predriver_hook, postdriver_hook, idle_task, do_zero_of_workspace,
extra_mpci_receive_server_stack, stack_allocate_hook, and
stack_free_hook. As a side-effect of this effort some multiprocessing
code was made conditional and some style clean up occurred.
|
|
* startup/bspstart.c: Eliminate the interrupt_vector_table field in the
m68k CPU Table since it is never read.
|
|
|
|
* clock/ckinit.c, console/console.c, include/bsp.h,
startup/bspstart.c, timer/timer.c: Convert to using c99 fixed size
types.
|
|
* clock/ckinit.c, console/console.c, include/bsp.h, include/coverhd.h,
startup/bspclean.c, startup/bspstart.c, startup/linkcmds,
timer/timer.c: URL for license changed.
|
|
* startup/bspstart.c: assoc.h, error.h, libio_.h, libio.h,
and libcsupport.h moved from libc to lib/include/rtems and
now must be referenced as <rtems/XXX.h>. Header file order
was cleaned up while doing this.

This patch also eliminated calls to the obsolete routine
m68k_enable_caching.

code in each BSP's bspstart.c. These changes were:
+ confdefs.h now knows libio's semaphore requirements
+ shared/main.c now copies Configuration to BSP_Configuration
+ shared/main.c fills in the Cpu_table with default values
This removed the need for rtems_libio_config() and the constant
BSP_LIBIO_MAX_FDS in every BSP. Plus now the maximum number of open
files can now be set on the gcc command line.

to multiple. This lets the stack check extension be installed
at system initialization time and avoids the BSP having to
even know about its existence.

based on the GNU tools. This usually involved correcting the
type of bsp_start(), bsp_cleanup(), adjusting the start code to
call the right start routine (the shared boot_card()), and then
removing code from bsp_start() which was performed in the new
boot_card()/main() path.

only required in a multiprocessor system. It was replace by the MPCI
Receive Server. As a result, the CPU Table field for extra stack for
the SYSI task was changed to be extra stack for the MPCI Receive Server.

single biggest changes were the expansion of the workspace size
macro to include other types of objects and the increase in the
minimum stack size for most CPUs.

Configuration Table Template file added and all tests
modified to use this. All gvar.h and conftbl.h files
removed from test directories.
Configuration parameter maximum_devices added.
Core semaphore and mutex handlers added and RTEMS API Semaphore
Manager updated to reflect this.
Initialization sequence changed to invoke API specific initialization
routines. Initialization tasks table now owned by RTEMS Tasks Manager.
Added user extension for post-switch.
Utilized user extensions to implement API specific functionality
like signal dispatching.
Added extensions to the System Initialization Thread so that an
API can register a function to be invoked while the system
is being initialized. These are largely equivalent to the
pre-driver and post-driver hooks.
Added the Modules file oar-go32_p5, modified oar-go32, and modified
the file make/custom/go32.cfg to look at an environment varable which
determines what CPU model is being used.
All BSPs updated to reflect named devices and clock driver's IOCTL
used by the Shared Memory Driver. Also merged clock isr into
main file and removed ckisr.c where possible.
Updated spsize to reflect new and moved variables.
Makefiles for the executive source and include files updated to show
break down of files into Core, RTEMS API, and Neither.
Header and inline files installed into subdirectory based on whether
logically in the Core or a part of the RTEMS API.

IDLE task priority changed from 0 to 255 during initialization.
